A relatively close relative of the Negroni, The Contessa cocktail still packs a delightful punch and never more so than when using our Portobello Road Navy Strength Gin. Also substituting the classic red Campari for the wonderful orangey Aperol and a dry vermouth instead of sweet, it is full of flavour, not compromise. This cocktail works equally well with London Dry Gin.
25ml Dry Vermouth
1 orange peel
Add all the ingredients into a mixing glass with ice, and stir until well-chilled (roughly 20 seconds)
Strain into a rocks glass filled with ice.
Garnish with a twist of orange.
