£175

We have been fortunate enough to get our hands on a very limited number of bottles from the 2019 Buffalo Trace Antique Collection, strictly limited to one bottle per customer, we encourage you to buy these bottles to savour and enjoy, not to flip them on an auction site, but move quickly as these are sure to sell out right away!

Named for pioneering distiller WL Weller who famously substituted wheat for the traditional rye grain in his mash bill, to create a softer, mild, gentle and smooth taste in his whiskey.

This 2019 release was distilled in the winter of 2007 and matured for at least twelve years and six months in level #4 char, virgin white American oak barrels, in warehouse I of the Buffalo Trace Distillery in Frankfort, Kentucky - 57% of the original whiskey placed in these barrels was lost to evaporation. The mash bill was made up of Kentucky corn, North Dakota wheat and North Dakota malted barley. This limited edition release is bottled uncut and unfiltered at a barrel-proof strength of 64% abv.

The distillery tasting notes read:

“Fragrant scents of caramel corn, new leather, plums, light toffee and pipe tobacco. The palate tastes of marshmallow, salted almonds, nougat, figs and dates. This whiskey finishes smooth, composed and flavourfully sweet.”
